Christianity and Homosexuality: Why Not (I'll Tell Ya` Why Not!)

Christianity and Homosexuality: Why Not (I'll Tell Ya` Why Not!)

This issue came up in a discussion among Christianity's great philosophers. Hearing the discussion, my conclusion was this:

God doesn't care about our little reasons for suicide ... Wait, back up; God wants us each to live forever. As we do not know any bodily method for personal immortality, the closest thing we can manifest is the 'living fruit of our bodies.'

Homosexuals are okay-people, but their lifestyle does not promote the 'fruit-bearing'-process the way we understand 'mommies and daddies' do promote it—both in the conception process and throughout the entrainment process ('planting the seed,' 'finding new life,' AND 'nurturing the fruit so that it brings profit').

They are like people who make boatloads of money–hundreds-of-times that which they really need–and then don't spend it and/or don't plan to ever do anything with it; they're okay people, but they are wasting their time (and are thus wasting the time of any who spend time with them).

Love the Sinner, Hate the Sin

Sharing this text with another one of the philosophers, I got this response:

Hey – Just want to encourage you to keep your blogs as uplifting, encouraging, loving and accepting as is possible.

Not sure if your last post was fully understood by the comments it received.

And please make sure to differentiate your personal thoughts from the corporate thoughts of Mars Hill.

Thanks for your understanding and keep up the posts.

Take Care.

The philosopher must have been too busy to make that clear here himself, and/or does not deem this a discussion worth joining—whether my opinion and the facts are anywhere near MarsHill's other members' opinions (which neither of us can tell you unless you try to find out) or not.

We Are To Be God's Royal Court

You hit the nail on the head. Something the great philosophers brought up is that We the People are the Church ... which I (not necessarily they) took to mean that those of us who call ourselves "Christian" are simply providing the best example we can of how to be We the People. Now, I'm sure some will bring up many examples of 'perfect Christians' who did some stupid things. To them I ask, 'Did you see them doing those stupid things and try to do them yourself?' If so, good luck; but I'm thinking you didn't, because good Christians make their punishment very-loud. Take the loud punishment all Christians talk about: the Crucifixion. The lessons there are many: don't claim to be more-powerful than people who can legally kill you, etc. Add to Technorati-favorites

Did You Read the Whole Page?

If you did, you might notice that I was taking 'the human church's' point-of-view. Don't think that I'm putting myself on a pedestal as 'the picture of perfection' here, `cause I'm not! I do plenty of things that waste time as well! But I do not define myself by them! Add to Technorati-favorites

Telling the truth, the ugly

Telling the truth, the ugly truth about somone doesn't mean to slander. You invoke the bible... well, that mean you remember how many times Jesus called some people slicks, sinners, or in any other way. And how many times He told them they will not get into Heaven if they continue on their path, etc. That means Jesus was shaming people? That means He tels slanders? Get Paid To Share Your Videos! Wait Just A Minute!

What are you really saying? Are you shamming the man that will not produce children? Christians go to hell for shamming, putting others down and for saying things like "YOU ARE A WASTE OF TIME" THAT IS SLANDER! I'm sure you can read in the bible about slander and I'm sure those great philosophers you quoted also talked about how sinful slandering is. STOP WHAT YOU ARE SAYING! YOU ARE STRONGER THAN THIS MYTHMAN! Jane
