Is Christianity dying out?
posted June 15, 2009 - 11:52pmChristianity is not dying out except our faith. Our faith is eaten alive by time, satanic interruptions and our own regular denials of the exsitence of Jesus Christ. How many of us will wait for the day when Jesus comes back to this world? Think about these two sentences. < p>
Ignoring is easier than waiting. Leaving is better than waiting.
Christianity will never die because Jesus Christ will continuously touch every part of our lives through expected and unexpected circumstances.
HE will endlessly get us back on track. However, the decisions are made by us. We choose whether to accept HIM or depise him because waiting is a daunting task for each of us as we have different degrees of patience.
If some people are worried that Christianity is dying out, please bear in mind His words in the bible. Jesus Christ once said that we will never believe in HIM more than our own friends. Therefore, not having full trust in Him is not our fault. Furthermore, it is our heart that plays the role of skeptic as we are too vulnarable in this world of Lucifer. Our faith in him remains the same or stronger even if we choose not to go to churh every Sunday. Jesus Christ is looking at our faith. He is listening to our silent prayers. I believe that Jesus will forgive us because we are becoming more helpless in this modern world as we are living in a world where we see hundreds perhaps thousands of dictators and the fathers and the mothers of greed.
Corruption breeds permanent poverty in many developing countries where faith in religion falls second to survival. The main thing that these scavengers are looking for is food. Despite their faith in God, they just can't do much as their leaders have ruined their faith through corruption in which their rights to get a better life have falen into pieces.
Another cause of the assumption that Christianity is dying out is the comfortable and luxurious life that we are having today especially in developed countries. God will be remembered only when the economy is down. However, the most important thing is that, Jesus Christ exsists in every corner of our mind. If we had never thought of Jesus Christ in our mind everyday, only then we can say that Christianity is dying out.
In conclusion, Christianity will never die. It will always grow in the minds of its followers because our faith is not measured by the number of times we go to Church on Sundays, but the willingness to wait for the day when Jesus comes as our savior.
