CIA and FBI editing Wikiipedia entries

Reuters news service is reporting that computers located in the offices of the CIA and FBI have been editing wikipedia entries.

A spokesperson for Wikipedia suggests that the edits may be a conflict of interest for the site. The editing was done on articles covering the Iraq War and the Guantanamo prison.

Sources of the editing were discovered by a new tracing program designed by the Santa Fe Institute called the Wikiscanner.

The Wikiscanner can be found at wikiscanner.virgil.gr/ however, the site was not accessible at the publishing of this Xomblurb.
