Classical Guitar Site for Free

As i was surfing the net looking for sites to teach me how to play classical guitar, i bumped into this wonderful site on the web. although there are not alot sites for free teaching you things about playing classical guitar nowadays. Usually you need to enrol in classical guitar schools or have a tutor of your own which will cost you alot. But this one is different. Alot of thanks to Nader of CG Delcamp for sharing this wonderful site to everyone who is really interested in learning.

I used to play guitar because of one thing, i want to sing. so i tried playing just enough that i have an accompaniment while singing. but i never thought that guitar can sing by themselves and it really is much more serene and very soul uplifting. and that is how a classical guitar play is all about. Letting your guitar do the singing and putting your very soul into it as if you and the guitar are one.

This site is divided into 5 categories essential for beginners and proffesionals both. For beginners i would suggest that they do a ladderized type of reading unto to the 5 categories. try to master the first part before going to the next. But of course it all depends as to how much youve already known in the past. There you can jump into the other categories or sometimes you just can check something that youve missed.

The first category is READING MUSIC. This part is mostly for beginners. It include those Do Re Mi things and Staffs and note readings. but the latter part of it is really essential on starting your way to become a pro. There you can learn how to read notes and where to place it in your guitar, known as the fingerboarding. So if you want to check on your old knowledge about reading notes and some basic stuffs on Clefs and Staffs this will be very helpful.

The next category is the TECHNIQUE. In this category its a little bit more complicated for beginners considering that what you will see here are mostly french words like staccato, legato and so on and so forth. But just as i said, after mastering on how to read notes and do the fingerboarding you must know some techniques on how should you style your plays.

The third category is STUDIES. In this part its all checking. From the shape of your nails to some advance studies that was gathered by Nader himself.

Next, is the SCORES. In this part its getting exciting! These are some sheets of famous composers all over the world translated in classical guitar. Composers like Bach, Sor, Carcassi and Tarrega will be your personal tutors here. And whats even more cool is that you can download a video on how it should be played in a real classical guitar way. So that you can either follow it by sight or just follow it by sound if you are that good.

Lastly is the SCALES AND CHORDS. You might be thinking why it was placed at the last part since these part should be in the basic part. Well as for that, it also depends on you but as for me scales are what you need to learn after all these. Its a finger excercise. But some prefer studying this part first. well, its all up to you.

So thats it!! If you are done with these and really mastered it, Im really sure that youll be one step closer to J.S. Bach. All these are just a study guide, but if you really want to be trained and really do well I reallly suggest that you look for someone who will teach you. Criticisms and suggestions will really play a very essential role on to your road of proffesional classical guitarist.

Have a nice playing!! Thanks Nader!!

I'll have to check it out

I used to play classical guitar when I was a teen... really liked it but then it fell by the wayside. Maybe I'll tune the guitar up and check out the site. Maybe it'll give me a jump-start to get back into playing. I used to love the sound.
