Asa Coon, the 14-year-old suspected shooter at SuccessTech Academy, had a history of mental health problems, including aggressive behavior. He also threatened to commit suicide last year while in the care of a mental health facility, according to juvenile court records.Asa did stints in two juvenile facilities stemming from a domestic violence incident.

Asa was also given home detention. Juvenile court records say he had an extremely poor relationship with his mother and that he refused to take medication.
