First off let me say that Jacksonville is not known for its night life... you can ask Paris Hilton what she thought of us when the superbowl was in town. But if you want the run down on things to do in Jax then here goes :

Leopard Lounge/Plush/Rain: This is a huge 3 in one strip mall that happens to have three connecting clubs. You are free to enter each one but they all have somewhat of a different ambiance. The drinks are cheap on the right nights. Its centrally located in the Arlington area (Town and Country plaza). Its not too far from downtown. The DJ's are pretty good and its a huge place. Not wonderful for couples but if you're alone you just may get lucky!
Club Paris: Overcrowded, overpriced and snooty
Elixir: Located in Orange Park off Roosevelt BLVD, This very small club frequently has cheap drink nights but theres never many people there. Also, beward of glowsticks.
Crazy Horse: Ah, the only country bar around. LOcated on BLanding BLVD and normally pretty packed with tight jean wearing women and men alike. A friendly crowd and reasonably priced if thats what you're into.
Ocean Club: Located in the heart of Jax Beach. Open during the day you can actually sit on the back patio and listen to reggae music and watch the ocean. Night time brings beautiful ladies and plenty more dancing.
The Atlantic: Directly across from Ocean Club and pretty much the same thing.
Now finally,, if you're like me and prefer bars to clubs,, prefer culture to electronica music,,, visit Petes Bar,, located in Neptune beach established in the 1930's. Pool still only costs 25 cents and it still gets packed with young and old alike in the evenings.
