Coach Victoria Schattauer and the 15 Year Old Cheerleader Photos

Goshen, Ohio, a small conservative town in a small conservative state has been shocked into the reality of global communication by the rapidly spreading scandal involving photos taken of Victoria Schattauer, a 19 year old cheerleading coach and one of her 15 year old cheerleading students.

The girls are unclothed in the photos and are posing suggestively. The photos were taken at a party being given by another 19 year old assistant coach Andrew Emerson.

The photos were taken by one of the cheerleading coaches at the party, who then proceeded to distribute the photos by email.

At that point the school became aware of the situation and asked the police to deal with it....

According to the Goshen Superintendent Charlene Thomas, school board has fired 19-year-old freshman cheerleader coach Victoria Schattauer for allegedly providing alcohol to a freshman at the party and 19-year-old assistant coach Andrew Emerson for hosting the party.

These are very serious charges, if true, and could result in long prison sentences.

The local police are conducting an investigation of the situation.

Perhaps this should be a warning to those in a position to hire "coaches" and teachers for high school students. Coaches and assistant coaches who are only 19 years old might not be the best choice for these positions.

We Are All Entitled To Our Own Opinion

I guess all things are relative and Ohio seems like a small state to me as I live in Texas.... I also tend to think of size in terms of... well, size... not population.... I also guess I think of political Liberalism and Conservatism with capitol letters and behavioral liberalism and conservatism with small letters... After all, there are a lot of Republicans in California but I would not classify California as a conservative state. I have a lot of family in Ohio and have spent a good bit of time there and I do not consider it to be liberal, but rather somewhat conservative in attitude, morals and behavior.... not particularly flamboyant... and sometimes somewhat provincial and unsophisticated. I might also add that I find that pleasantly refreshing.... At least that is my opinion. It is also my opinion that the school authorities showed extremely poor judgment in hiring 19 year old coaches to supervise and stand as role models for 15 year olds. To me that shows a lack of being in touch with the realities of the world today. You, of course, are free to form your own opinion. Angel

Neither small nor conservative!

Speaking as a native Ohioan, I want to note that Ohio is not a small state... in fact, it's the 7th largest in terms of population. And it's not conservative... it has a Democratic governor and one Democratic U.S. Senator. "Conservative state" would be more applicable to southern "Bible belt" states. I think Ohioans are well aware of global communication and technological advancement... after all, the Wright Brothers were from Ohio, as was the first man to walk on the Moon!
