Cockroaches Come Out When Xomba Staff Takes a Break

It seems that the spammers and scammers come out whenever the Xomba staff takes a break!

These guys show up with names like 'replicawatches' or 'myspace layouts' or 'graphicscodes' and post this crap that fills up your email spam filters, if you have one, or your inbox if you don't. They write a list of keywords a page long and then add some other links to crap sites just for good measure!

These cockroaches come out when the Xomba lights are off and then scurry away as soon as the Xomba staff comes back and turns on the light!

OK, I've vented..I just wanted a chance to call them COCKROACHES!

I know the reason we don't see them much when the Xomba staff is online is that they keep busy monitoring the posts, but when they are offline we have to do our best to flag the offenders so the staff knows where to look when they get back online.

I picture Nick or Jeremy calling them 'cockroaches' in their best (or worst) Cuban Pacino accent...and then "Let me introduce you to my leetle friend!" as they deletes the little suckers!

@nick--Not E-litist, DE-leteist! Climbing to the High Circle on~

~Good Writing! I think of my good buddy taprial. He's almost a spammer (in his constant `blurbing), but he saves himself through an excellent writing on his `byte. ---Buddha tells Uncle MythMan, "Flood the Open Eyes with the Truth, for as Long as You Exist!" We are not elitists.

We do not want to seem elitist like other sites. Xomba is open for all writers.

Yes, I know..

That's why we don't see them much when those guys are online. I know they stay busy keeping the roaches at bay. I wrote that after flagging a few...We've got to point them out so admin can know where to spray for the bugs.. Click here to find out how you can get paid to post items like this. Reminds Me of David Barton's Take on the Parable of the Tares

When the farmer's workers were resting, the 'enemy' planted the weeds among his crops. (The tares were so firmly rooted by the time the workers told the farmer, the farmer decided to leave the tares there and sort them out on the threshing floor after harvest.) David Barton focused on the prevention-failure in a recent article---if the workers had been awake, they would've scared off the 'enemy' and dug up any weeds planted before the weeds had a chance to take root! Barton compared that failure to the typical Christian voting-practice; I compare it to the admin.ing here. If the admin. lets unestablised writers just post willy-nilly, the willy-nilly posting will become the norm! (No wonder Digg.com thinks we're---!) I will click 'contact' in the upper right and suggest that they don't allow new members to post Xomblurbs until they get at least one Xombyte in the Top-Ten. I ask you to do the same: Simply click 'Contact' in the upper right-hand corner, select 'Comments/Suggestions' in the drop-down menu on the page that opens, and copy/paste "don't allow new members to post Xomblurbs until they get at least one Xombyte in the Top-Ten" into the entry-space! Thank You! ---Buddha tells Uncle MythMan, "Flood the Open Eyes with the Truth, for as Long as You Exist!" Help Him Spread the Truth (about stuff) Here!

Flag and Leave Reason

Get angry and flag it and make sure you leave a reason why. Appreciate it!!!!

It does appear that way sometimes with the cucarachas

The issue with the mad spammers is everywhere on every writing site, so it isn't specific to Xomba. The best thing to do is flag the article right away before it gets buried by the other legitimate content. Between Nick and Jeremy, they are on it as soon as they are back online. That's been my experience since I joined some 16 months ago. DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?
