Everybody who comes here to Xomba dreams of making money through the Google AdSense program. Nothing wrong with that--even I am here to make money. So, we research and digest and write what we hope will be a well-received article. For many of us, the article submission process is a daily rite--something as natural for us as eating and sleeping.

What sets Xomba apart from other article submission websites and what makes this the place I like to be is the fact that we are a writing community, that is, we are a group of writers who both write and interact with each other.

How do we interact with each other? Aside from the PM and IM systems, we leave comments for each other. I see the benefit of the comments as two-fold.

For one, it gives us instant feedback from our writing peers and validation that we wrote a good article. Writing for what amounts to anonymous people using search engines can be somewhat lonely because your reads and clicks are the only other way of knowing if people even saw your article. We have the ability to build each other's confidence by being supportive and offering constructive criticisms to help each other improve our writing.

The other benefit is it gives us the chance to add value to each other's articles by adding to the information or creating a discussion that is often as entertaining as it is informative. Remember, we are writing for the search engines, so when a searcher comes here to read your article, they will find some added bonus for reading it. Plus, many comments equals more traffic equals more hits.

For those of you who have been here a while, you know that I enjoy commenting on articles and interacting with you all. The way I look at it, we are all on the same journey and sharing in that experience not only makes the trip more worthwhile, it also makes the highs higher and the lows seem not so low.
