Commissioner James McCall Forced to Accept Assistance from Retired Virgin Islands Police Officers

November 28, 2007, - With no end insight to the rising crime statistics in the Virgin Islands, James McCall, Commissioner of Police, succumbs to retired Virgin Islands Police Organization.

The latest homicide that occured the day after Thanksgiving, with the brutal slaying of Clarence VanBeverhoudt's body that was found stuffed in a shopping cart, raised the temperature of a Virgin Islands Community.

Shootings, carjackings, robberies and burglaries spinning out of control, with no leads, witnesses or community assistance is hurting a struggling police department. The police is definitely in need of some community love, which they cannot receive; due to the widespread distrust of virgin islands police officers.
