Congratulations Republicans, You Helped Elect Barack Hussein Obama
I wrote an article last July about how the Republicans were helping elect Barack Obama. Just like with any other self-fulfilling prophecy, the Republicans kept Barack Obama's name in the news with a wall-to-wall lie and innuendo-fest. They just couldn't leave well enough alone.
Now, the senator from Illinois whom you used to libel and slander and every opportunity is your president-elect and will be calling the shots for the Executive Branch. The Democrats also picked up more Senate and House seats, making the Republican legislators even more irrelevant than 2006.
For those of you who hadn't read my other article, the Universe's Law of Attraction gives you more of what you put out. The same Universe does not recognize negatives, so a declaration of "I don't want Barack Obama to be president" is reciprocated with "You want Barack Obama to be president."
Amongst the list of "what ifs" that John McCain, Sarah Palin, and other Republicans will be revisiting time and again, I hope they consider the consequences of going negative against Barack Obama and Joe Biden from the very beginning. In light of Universal law, they were strengthening the Obama/Biden ticket with every stump speech, campaign stop, and political ad that played everywhere in the country.
That's why John McCain never stood a chance. When it became apparent that he couldn't win by campaigning on the issues and building himself up, it was over. If the average American voter wasn't going to vote for McCain on his merits as a potential president, they weren't going to vote for him because he was trash-talking Obama either.
Now, my best wish for Senator McCain is for him to go back to Arizona and finish out his political career with some dignity in the U.S. Senate. My best wish for Sarah Palin is for her to return to Alaska and remain in Alaskan politics, while working on her glaring shortcomings as a national-level stateswoman. Plus, I hope she grows a thicker skin because history will probably remember her rather unflatteringly.
President Barack Hussein Obama has his work cut out for him, but he has my full support. If Republicans want to have any chance of regaining lost seats in Congress or having their candidate in 2012 looked upon favorably, they ought to think about the underlying lessons of this election cycle because, just like refusing to believe in gravity won't help you if you jump off of a tall building, refusing to believe in other Universal laws won't let you off the hook either.
