A tall, very thin wanna-be rocker with access to millions of satellisteners and several malicious websites had contrived to alter the results of the American Idol Season 6 voting, but they were thwarted by the common-sense of the television-viewers in the United States.
Why should they screw-up the most entertaining television program, broadcast "live" another rarity, broadcast on "free TV" today. If the final results were altered to have a person not up to the quality standards that the national audience has been educated to appreciate the ratings for the next seasons series would plummet, effecting the ad-rates, causing the budget for production values to be cut, which from the excellent "look" of the sets and production numbers appears to be sufficient to fuel any lighting designers imagination, even though Strand Lighting sucks up a lot of electrical energy.
We are reminded of Season 5, when Kellie Pickler was voted off before the final rounds, she tearfully left the Hollywood stage and set to work to become the Real American Idol of season 5. Click:
