Connecticut Pool Contractor Arrested for Child's Drowning

A Connecticut pool contractor was arrested in the death of a child.

David Lionetti has been arrested, on a manslaughter charge in the death of Zachary Cohn. Cohn, who was six years old at the time of his death last summer, drowned after becoming trapped by the suction of a drain in his family's pool. The pool had been installed by Lionetti's company Shoreline Pools.

His arrest has been applauded as the catalyst to finally bring a breath of safety in standards to making swimming pools safer.
