Conner's Corner - Emo and Goth Kids...CHEER UP!

You know what pisses me off?

Goth and emo kids. I'm sick of seeing all their bullcrap about how they're so depressed and how their lives are so terrible.

GOTH KID- "Ohh....I'm so different from everybody else because I'm goth. I make an effort to make myself stand out, but then I whine because I'm an outcast. I think I'm going to go cut myself, because NIN mentioned it in a song once."

EMO KID- "Ohh....I'm so depressed over my sixth girlfriend in as many months breaking up with me. I know I'm only 18 and just out of high school, but I think I really was in love with her. Man, I need to go sit by a tree and write abstract poetry."

To all these wastes of perfectly good carbon who won't shut up, I'll say join the Peace Corps. Volunteer at the homeless shelter. Do something to put your world in perspective. Be happy about what you do have. Sure, your mom may be an overprotective weirdo, but at least your mom hasn't died of some horrible disease or starvation or because some warlord doesn't like the part of the county you live in.

Next time all you idiots want to start whining about your lot in life, and how your life sucks so much, and how you've just got it so bad...just remember it could always be worse and be thankful you've got a full stomach and clothes on your back and a healthy immune system and bombs don't fall on your neighborhood on a daily basis.
