Control freak finds God
posted March 14, 2007 - 2:39pmWe should stop trying to be in control all the time. God is the only one who is really in control.
There once was a woman who was President of a big corporation and a real control freak, She always tried to be in control of everything: her husband, her employees, even her children. She was so intent on being in control that it made her very nervous. She developed a bright red rash on her face replete with whiteheads. Her doctors diagnosed her as having emotionally induced acne.
Her employees, seeing her condition, stopped respecting her so the Board of Directors of her Company demoted her to Company Librarian where she could hide her head in the archives.
Her husband left her. Her children were so embarrassed by her appearance that they refused to allow her to drive them to school and started hitching rides on motorcycles driven by members of the juvenile division of the Hells Angels.
She became an emotional wreck, and went totally out of control. She dyed her hair purple, green, red and yellow, and dressed in a dungaree jacket with the words -- this is the start of the Peacock Revolution silk screened on the back. No one knew what this meant. No one cared any more.
It just goes to show you that you can’t be in control all the time. God is the only one who is truly in control. Relax and learn to go with the flow of nature as dictated by the grand design of the Almighty. Be patient and learn to trust in your faith in God. Things will work out without you being in the drivers seat all the time.
Stop trying to be perfect -- stop trying to be in control all of the time. God is the only one who is perfect and in control of our destiny. Life includes many randomly selected outcomes. This is part of the evolution of nature as dictated by God’s grand design. Like everything else that is God’s will, this is a difficult concept for mere humans such as us to grasp.
Learn to trust in your faith in God and you may be graced to begin to see the light. Place your faith in God and you may be graced to know His blessings. Let God take control of your life and you may be graced with peace of mind.
Have you tried having a conversation with God lately? Have you tried asking for His mercy and guidance? Have you asked Him to help you gain control of your life? Don’t worry if you haven’t. You still have time. No one is perfect.
