Could It Have Been?

One day a man was lazing back along a river bank without a care in the world. Looking across the river, he noticed three young boys fishing from a boat and one of the boys was standing, not wearing a life preserver. He was concerned but thought, he’ll be alright.
Laying there meditating, he was giving thoughts about some of the stories he had heard about our lord Jesus. Lord, he prayed, I want to believe in you without any doubt, but I have trouble and I know you can help me. Please Lord, help me believe.
Just then he heard the young boys across the river yelling and screaming, my brother, my brother! He can’t swim! I dove into the river to try and reach him but I myself was a weak swimmer. It seemed to be hopeless and I was failing but just then I couldn’t not believe what I was seeing.
After the boy was rescued, I asked the other two boys, who was it that pulled your brother up out of the water? They said that they weren’t sure and appeared afraid and just wanted to go home. I then sat on the ground rubbing my eyes and wondering just what was it I thought I saw. It was then that one of the boys came back and asked me, “Did you see him too?” I asked who? He didn’t answer but just turned and ran back home.
I still wonder to this day, did that young boy see what I thought I saw? The man I saw pull him out of the water, was he really there? Did the young boy also see what I saw? The man was walking on water!
