Charlie Daniels, 71, was given an invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry during his show Monday night at the Ryman auditorium. Opry member Martina McBride presented the invitation to Daniels, who became emotional upon receiving the invite. Daniels is best known for his 1979 single, "The Devil Went Down to Georgia", which topped the country charts. Charlie Daniels will be officially inducted into the Opry in the coming months.
