Country Style Green Beans

Sweet and sour green beans are tossed with sauteed fried onion and crumbled crisp bacon.

2 cans of green beans drained
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 lb. bacon
flour
water
vinegar
sugar

Cook the bacon until crisp. remove from the pan, cool and crumble onto paper towels. Saute the onion in the bacon grease in the pan until soft and golden. Add enough flour to the pan to stir into a paste. Thin with a bit of vinegar. Add water a teaspoon at a time to make the sauce somewhat thick but creamy. Sweeten to taste with sugar and stir in the green beans and reserved crumbled bacon. Heat till bubbling.
