Crawfordville, Georgia Site Of New Robert Duvall Movie, "Get Low"
posted January 3, 2009 - 7:52pmCrawfordville, Georgia is a small Georgia town that has remained virtually unchanged for the past 70 years. That makes it the ideal choice for the new Robert Duvall movie, "Get Low", that is set in the 1930's and is about an eccentric old man who's up in years and wondering if
his town will give him a decent funeral. The eccentric old man, played by Robert Duvall, stages his own mock funeral to find out the answer.
Crawfordville, Georgia has no fast food restaurants or other modern distractions to detract from the scenic landscape, making it the perfect town backdrop for "Get Low".
The cast list of "Get Low" is incomplete, but rumors have named Sissy Spacek as having a leading role in the new movie.
Oscar winning cinematographer,Aaron Schneider co-wrote and will be directing the movie, "Get Low".
Robert Duvall's new movie is not the only movie ever shot in Crawfordville, Georgia. "Sweet Home Alabama" starring Reese Witherspoon was shot in Crawfordville in 2002.
