1.Formatting your resume for best results
Formatting your resume is important and gives the right information in a logical order. Using underlines, italics, bold, ect, can help the person who is hiring to read the resume easily and can also draw their attention because you would be making the you resume stand out.

2.Putting in your personal information
The person doing the hiring needs your address, name, phone number, and email address. It is best to put all of this information at the top page of your resume. Personal information in NOT included on your resume and is illegal for the employer to ask you those questions.

3.Include a sumary of yourself(your option)
A summary can help the employer identify the position you are applying for.Making a qualifications summary will show all of your skills at the beginning of your resume.

4.Include all degrees,education,and certifications
When applying for internships these will almost always go to the beginning of your resume and will be at the end of it once you have had some experience. Of course if you are a student, education would be your first major category

5.Use sophisticated words to describe your accomplishments
Putting sophisticated words in your resume will be highlighting your skills and will make your resume strong and will impress the employer. By doing this, you will be able to show you have dedicated attention along with communication skills

6.Keep plenty of white space
Try to keep margins to about one inch around the edges of your resume and space out your areas

7.Make several resumes
The reason you should do this is because you will have to change your resume based on the job you are applying for

8.Keep resume to one page
If you are only applying for internships and entry positions, one page is good enough. If you have been in the work force for more than 10 years then two pages may be required to show all your work and accomplishments you have done.

Review the overall format, proofread your work, and BEST OF LUCK!!
