I started my first class yesterday @ the Crisis Pregnancy Center here in Dallas, Tx. I will be going to training classes to be become a counselor hopefully this year. The Center is a Christian Center so everything is done with the Faith in God, and prayer of course. The first class went well (I think) we touched base on the many different Adoption process, the Birth Control used, Statistics and results with abortion and the cultural attitude towards it all. Now I'll be the first to say that I am Pro-Life and very proud of being so. I do Believe that each and every child is formed for a reason, the Lord created us all and we are not mistakes in any way. That being said when I found out that the classes were being offered, I jumped on the fact that I can go and learn so much more. I have been researching the entire debate, by reading books on both sides of the Roe V. Wade decision. The last book I read that was Pro-choice is "How the Pro-choice Movement Saved America, Freedom, Politics, and the War on Sex." I admit some of the information was interesting, but a bit childish. The author basically blamed the entire "Pro-life" movement on the increase in abortion. That I do not agree with in any way, Now I understand that some Pro-life Organizations believe in a bit more stricter way of living, that in no way sets the beliefs that all of us Pro-Lifers believe in. I don't think Pro-Choice Organizations should take any credit for the positive change that has happened in America within the last 30 yrs. Obviously the Author of the book didn't agree with me! Oh Well, were all entitled to our own opinion.=)

I'm excited to continue on going to these training classes, I want to learn as much as I can in that field. I want to retain all the information so that I can help others in the best possible way for them and their child. I believe that these classes will teach me to be more humble, more mature, but more than anything more real. This is a real epidemic (abortion)in the United States and instead of letting it get out of hand, I want to be the Non-Judgemental REAL sincere voice that will show people there are OPTIONS other than Abortion. I'm not doing it with the intention to PREACH to people, I don't believe I have the right to point the finger @ anyone for anything they do. I want to listen to people, I want them to know that there is someone out there to help you and pray for you. I'll keep the WEB updated on my classes, as the classes go on we will learn more and get in detailed studying which I will gladly share. So Xomba let's buckle up and take this ride.
