Cry From A Man's Heart

Cry From A Man's Heart

Cry From a Man’s Heart

Loneliness beats down upon me like a relentless desert sun

I am so painfully aware of this affliction from within

The depths of my soul cry out in silent desperation for companionship

Where is my Lord’s promise of the help-mate to cleave unto

Exhausted and adrift in an overwhelming sea of beautiful faces

Clinging to my rent hopes and dreams, I wage war against the swift, heartless currents of age

My continence falls into the murky depths of despair, made manifest by my fractured heart

Too weary to cling any longer

In desperation my grip begins to lesson upon my moral convictions

I slip into the deep still waters of heart ache from each failed encounter

Slowly drowning

Love is too elusive and I am spent

Cry From a Man's Heart was inspired by my life events and failed pusuits of elusive love. I am sure many who may read it can bare witness to having the same passionate feelings and painful failures in a hard world.

Bearing these feelings daily has made me weary, but today these emotions have been born unto words and I will labor not any further to contain them. A new start and a fresh pursuit begins each day with the rising sun!

A Man's Heart

It is truly awesome when a man shows his strength by showing his heart. Your poem gave me chills. Let your ego bask in the glory of your Spirit's love, for then you will unite and the loneliness will diminish with all the love coming forth to you. You have expressed many feelings of individuals in this world. +1 MJ - Sending happy thoughts and Smiles! Avatar: Betrayal and Retribution http://www.valkyrieart.com/Poser1.html

Wow! This is fantastic

This is an amazing poem. "...overwhelming sea of beautiful faces" and "...made manifest by my fractured heart" were awesome uses of imagery that were in and of themselves so fluid! Xomba should have a poetry contest just to solicit poems such as this. Stunning. +1 and a w00t! Peace, Mia NW
