Cybertheft!

A dutch teenager has been apprehended for cybertheft amounting close to 4000 GBP. Habbo Hotel is a 3-D social networking website where the users can creat their own 3-D rooms, decorate it with furniture and play games with Habbo credits for which they have to pay real money. More than 6 million people play this game every month in more than 30 countries.

The dutch teenager along with 5 accomplices moved virtual furniture, bought with real cash by other players, into their own rooms from other rooms. They got the usernames and passwords of other players and logged onto the sites. Officers called it a crime because the furniture was bought for with real money.
Virtual theft is a growing issue and needs to be tackled.
