Dadgummit! I was "that" close!
posted May 5, 2009 - 10:20amI've been writing articles for very close to two years now and I have received other AdSense payments before. So, I was looking forward to clearing another $100 threshold and getting paid this month.
There is a sense of excitement that builds when your AdSense account passes $95 early in the month because you can almost see $100. So, I wrote a few more articles and began my article indexing project and figured my existing articles would have enough momentum to carry me over.
Oops.
When the clock rolled from 11:59 on 4/30 to the new month, I was at $99.35 with zero clicks for the last day. I did clear the $100 on 5/1 and will get paid again, but at the end of June as opposed to the end of May. On the positive side, every click I get from today to the end of May is gravy and only adds to the check I will receive.
Lessons learned. When I saw that amount creep closer to $100, I failed to apply the Law of Attraction properly and "see" myself with the money already, trusting that it was already there. I psyched myself out and began AdSense watching, which I advised against in my How Much Money Would You Like to Make Today? article, which sent the message to the Universe that I didn't believe that I would clear the threshold. The Universe, being a dispassionate granter of wishes, obliged me by leaving me short.
Being "that" close may be tough, but it is a gentle reminder of the Law of Attraction and having faith that the prosperity is already there.
