Daily Kos is one of the leading sites in the liberal blogosphere today... despite the fact that many people have trouble figuring out how to say its name. The word "Kos" is pronounced "koze" or "kose" (the blog is sometimes mistakenly called "Daily Coast," or "Daily Coz").

The name refers to the nickname for Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas. He and several other members of the site post news and opinion pieces, while other people post blog entries called "diaries" on the site.
