When it comes to dating, there is nothing wrong with being shy, yet a more outgoing person is usually most likely to attract a wider-scope of dating interests. Depending on whom you come in contact with, shyness is sometimes perceived as classy, while others see it as a sign of weakness. In many cases, men and women suffer "the one that got away" simply because they were too shy to make the first move or effectively respond to flirting. Overall, it is important to remember that shyness is an emotion and does not become a permanent part of your personality….unless you want it.
