The Davy's Naked-Backed Bat: Facts and Information

Bats belonging to the same genus as Davy's naked-backed bat are sometimes called mustached or leaf-lipped bats.

Physical Characteristics

Davy's
naked-backed bat is one and half to two and a half inches long. Its
tail is three quarters to one inch long. It weighs less then half an
ounce. Its wings join together along the center of the back, making the
fur difficult to see. The back fur of the species is clove brown to
tawny brown while the torso is cinnamon brown. Some individuals may be
a bright orange.
