Death

Death

I accept you somehow,
Though I don't know when.
Shall I exist,
Until my end?
You enter my mind,
And tear it apart.
I live through my world,
With you in my heart.

I await you willingly,
Fore you can't be escaped.
And when you want me,
There's no hiding place.
No second chances,
Just one last breath.
No one to stop you,
You're nothing to test.

Death you don't fear me,
Nor do I you.
I'm yours for the taking,
No matter what I do.
Your counter is life,
And that I don't like.
You seem much more appealing,
Comparing darkness to light.

I live in the shadows,
Alone like you.
Awaiting my time,
To see what I can undo.
