Defeatocrats. Surrendercrats. Traitors. COWARDS.

Defeatocrats. Surrendercrats. Traitors. COWARDS.

Time to break out your white feathers: the cowards are on parade in Washington.

The 51 - 46 vote in the Senate and 218-208 in the House, which would issue a mandatory troop pullout of Iraq as early as July 1 and no later than October 1, was mainly along party lines. Thankfully, President Bush can still veto the bill, as it did not receive enough votes to override a presidential veto. Unfortunately, the message it sends is bad enough in and of itself.

Oh, and John McCain? Mr. War Hero himself who supports our troops soooo much, and is 100% behind the War on Terror, could not be bothered to cast a vote against this traitorous and cowardly bill. I wonder how he would have handled this as President.

Democrats gloated, as the traitorous cowards were able to tell our troops that they don't support them. They don't believe in their ability to win this war.

Hey folks, it really is Vietnam all over again! Look at that!

The cowardly Dems have already made up their minds. Harry Reid said it himself: "This war is lost." Presidential candidate and Congressman Duncan Hunter called for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's resignation following the demoralizing comments, saying, "The statement by Senator Reid, which can only have a demoralizing effect on our troops and an effect of encouragement of the adversary, Sen. Reid should resign his position as the leader of the United States Senate."

But why should he, when there is so much more troop demoralization that could take place?

The traitorous cowards who "support our troops" have made their message clear. War isn't nice, so we should pull out. People are dying, so we should quit. This is just plain hard, so we should give up. Our military can't do it, so we should leave.

They don't support our troops. They don't care about the possible consequences of pulling out. They don't care about what it will mean for the Iraqi people, or Al Qaeda, or the morale of our troops, or the safety of the American people. Pulling out would have an adverse affect on all of the aforementioned things.

They. Do. Not. Care.

Our troops now know that their government isn't standing behind them, and worse even, that their elected officials don't believe in them to get the job done.

If we were to pull out, there's a strong possibility of civil war in Iraq. Al Qaeda could reclaim Iraq as a stronghold. And all the work, everything we've accomplished, would be erased.

And how about the message it sends to any enemies of the United States? We've just given them a blueprint on how to defeat the powerful United States of America military: hang on long enough, and they'll just give up. Signed, sealed, delivered, baby.

But to the Defeatocrats, it doesn't matter. And they gloated and smiled and smugly stood before reporters in a press conference to bask in their infinite cowardice.

If only Islam allowed alcohol. Osama bin Laden would be breaking out the champagne right about now.

As Van Helsing noted on MoonBattery, "If this bill were to become law, the Bush strategy of combating Islamic terror by taking the battle to the enemy and spreading democracy in the Middle East will have been officially abandoned in favor of the Democrat strategy of distracting ourselves with imaginary problems like global warming until the terrorists hit us again on our homeland."

Wake up, America. The surrendercrats do not care about our troops. They don't care about our safety. They don't care about the Middle East. They don't care about the United States, period. All they care about are themselves and their own careers, and they've shown that hypocrisy in every arena, from the war on terror to imaginary global warming.

They want us to become Europe, rife with dhimmitude and corrupt with the bureaucracy, condescension and hypocrisy of an elite class. We need to put a stop to this.

Some have suggested sending white feathers, an international symbol for cowardice, to the leaders of the Senate and the House. Gateway Pundit has white feather postcards you can print out and mail to your favorite cowardly Defeatocrat. Cafe Press has packages of 8 postcards for only $6.59. Or, you can go the Michelle Malkin route and send them actual feathers, individually or in bulk.

Below is a list of address for the Senators and Representatives who issued a middle finger to our military and to Iraq. Let them know how you feel.

As always, I welcome your thoughts.

As If...

I'm sorry, but you speak of Democrats and Republicans as if there is a hair's-breadth of difference between the two. As long as we live in a system where those two parties have a stranglehold on any campaign/debate/election, America will continue to drift away from our Founding Father's intent for this once-great country. It is no longer an "us vs. them" in terms of party affiliation. The battle has long since switched to "us vs. them" in terms of political elites vs. everyday Americans. When it comes to committing the U.S. military, the political elites are only too happy to lead from the rear; gone are the days when sons and daughters of politicians and industrialists wear the uniform and go off to fight wars. So, I support the decision for Congress to do its Constitutional duty (for once) and stop the senseless slaughter over in Iraq. The whole reason for checks and balances in our government is to stop megalomaniacs in the Executive from having too much power--a voice of reason, if you will. By the way, I notice that you did not direct any of the coward and traitor comments toward Bush, who shirked his duty during time of war and tried to use his political connections to hide his cowardice.

They Actually Do Care, jeremybaldwin

Democrats hate to lose soldiers ... about as much as they hate to lose chess-pieces. Add to your Technorati-favorites ... Unless you

But "So It Goes," caseyfiano

Maybe the politicos don't care about the troops ... I don't, the troops themselves don't, and neither should you (unless you are related to some of the troops; in which case you don't care for those troops themselves, so much as the relationship you have with them that is dying/in-stasis until they get back). The soldier is little more than a minuscule part of the government's war-tool ... I mean 'protective service'-tool ... lol Oh, sure; we 'honor' the ones who make it through combat (either alive or dead), but the honor comes from the sacrifice of their safety (not so much the mass-murder involved). I didn't hear the exact proposal of the democrats, and I don't really care to--I hope that's not from the front-page of the president's playbook (lol)--but I'm thinking the idea is more that they don't want to "increase the ranks over there." Naturally, we need a bit of force there to serve as a reminder that we CAN have more force there, and to make sure the young nation develops the appropriate society; but I don't want Bush to be such a bully! Bad to Say 'Lost'?

Okay ... so what are we expecting to win? "Freedom for the Iraqis"? Ha! I don't know about you, but I don't feel freer living closer to an Army-Outpost; hmmmm, maybe we need the entire Iraqi population in shackles before we've 'won.' That way, we know that they get all the Life, Liberty and Happy-Pursuits we give `em. 'I AM YOUR CREATOR, AND I NOW ENDOW YOU! MWA-HA-HA-HA-HARRRR' Add to your Technorati-favorites ... Unless you

You Really Love To Use Italics (for publius)

I never said Saddam was a nice guy but knocking him off was nothing that we should have been concerning ourselves with. The Bush administration just spun this war as an extension of the war on terrorism which it is not. And look what happened. There is a saying in Muslim culture that it is better to have a lifetime of tyranny than one day of anarchy. Well we have given them anarchy. I agree with you that this is a reoublic and not a democracy. That's why our Representatives passed a bill that reflected feelings of the population.

Right... (for cassy)

Yes, every single Democrat is a heartless bastard that only thinks about themself. None of them hate to see American soldiers get blow up everyday.

Thanks for the Fox News compliment!

I would LOVE to write for them. :) There's a huge difference between not agreeing with the war effort and what the defeatocrats did on Friday. Whether or not we should have gone into Iraq is no longer the issue (although I believe it was absolutely the right thing to do). My point is, we are there and we have to deal with the consequences of that action, and picking up and unilaterally leaving will cause nothing but negative consequences any way you look at it. But none of this matters to the surrendercrats, because all they care about is themselves and their own political careers. They don't care about our troops, or the people of Iraq, or the safety of our country.

Really, jeremybaldwin? You

Really, jeremybaldwin? You don't see a difference in disagreeing as opposed to an attempt to undermine the goals of the United States military by publicly declaring that the Iraq war is lost and we have been defeated? It doesn't matter whether you're a Democrat or Republican, it's wrong for any United States politician to send that type of message to our enemies while we are at war. "Originally we went to Iraq to protect our own national security. Woops, looks like we missed that one so now we have to justify the war on different terms. Now we are fighting to free the Iraqi people from an oppressive regime. Sure Saddam was a corrupt dictator but under his rule Iraq was one of the few secularized nations in the region. All we've done now is open it up to Iran and Muslim extremists." Yes, Saddam was such a great guy. He wasn't a mass murderer, never harbored terrorists, never planned to acquire WMD's, never violated any U.N. resolutions...he just ran a peaceful country where everyone was free and happy. This site may help you see the trouble of these beliefs: http://www.reasons-for-war-with-iraq.info/ And what is this about the United States being a democracy? Please read this: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=42248 Also, if the people voted for us to get out of Iraq, why did Congress agree to a surge in troops? And if they are so adamant about ending the war, why don't they simply not fund it and force the hand of the Administration? This is politics at its worst. And yes, it could be said that Harry Reid has committed an act of treason by what he said on national (and international) television. He is indeed a true coward.

If the People Aren't Happy, Blow `Em Up Some More?

The unscrewed lightbulb won't light up--no matter how much you scream at it--until you screw it back in. The war this administration sustains is simple screaming at the lightbulb of human moral-force. Add to your Technorati-favorites ...

Fox News Should Sign You Up

You speak with such brash and arrogance that Fox News should go ahead and give you a show. So apparently in America you cannot disagree with a war effort without being called a coward or worse, a traitor. I'm not saying that I completely disagree that some Democrats do things in their own best interests (cough, Hillary, cough)but to think that Republicans don't do the same thing is foolish. The truth is that the Bush Administration has terribly mismanaged a war that we never should have been in in the first place. Originally we went to Iraq to protect our own national security. Woops, looks like we missed that one so now we have to justify the war on different terms. Now we are fighting to free the Iraqi people from an oppressive regime. Sure Saddam was a corrupt dictator but under his rule Iraq was one of the few secularized nations in the region. All we've done now is open it up to Iran and Muslim extremists. As far as the Democrats wanting to get us out of Iraq you have to understand that that was exactly what they were elected to do. Did you forget the Novemeber elections? The majority of the American people want us out of there and isn't that what a Democracy is all about. The people voted Representatives in that they thought would end the war so that is what they are trying to do.
