Defining definitions

About midway into our discussion in my class which was about current events, my prof went into this rant about Bush,Abortion and stem cell research.
And of course I couldn't just sit back, I had to speak up.

I believe that abortion should be legal because I rather have it legal than girls going to seedy back alley holes in the wall to get their baby ripped out by Bob the Butcher.

I also believe that stem cell research should be legal. I mean there are so many uses for the stem cells, you can find cures to most every disease out there if we get our heads out of our asses and approve this. And wouldn't this be better to use aborted fetuses on, instead of just dumping them in a medical waste site? You could also use umbilical tissues as well still born children, and stem cells can even be found inside the nose of an adult. So what's the big deal?

I had to say that, well much more than that in class and some skank decided that Bush is god and all hail the evil dictator. She rebutted my argument by saying this lovely bias statement "I'm catholic, we don't believe in abortion or playing god."...yea that's why your religion prays to saints instead of god...isn't there somewhere in the bible that states that you shouldn't keep "false idols".
Then I rebutted her rebuttal by saying the legal definition of abortion a spontaneous expulsion of a human fetus during the first 12 weeks of gestation. Which is the same description of a miscarriage, so if you make abortion illegal you will also have to arrest a woman who miscarrys and charge her with involuntary manslaughter. Wouldn't that be a kick in the teeth "I'm sorry that you lost your baby ma'am, please place your hands behind your back while I read you your rights."

All that girl did was just stare blankly at me, because I put her in her place.
