Definition for: Posthumous

Define: POSTHUMOUS - To occur after a person’s death. Such as the birth of a child, an award, or recognition, or the release of a work or art/music/video/media.

Mesothelioma

A most recent example of this words use would be: The late actor Heath Ledger’s (4/1979 – 1/2008) posthumous award for “Best Supporting Actor” in the latest Batman related movie release: Dark Knight. Mr. Ledger’s all star portrayal of a dark and sinister Joker. (Arguably the best rendition of the Joker to date)

Some times posthumous is commonly misspelled: POSTHUMUS, so please take note if you have found this page with that spelling, you had better fix it!
