Democrats Should've Picked John Edwards

If the Democrats lose the election in November, they have only themselves to blame.

The one man who could've easily won the election is John Edwards. This is not to say that Obama or Hillary can't win, but it won't be easy for either of them. John Edwards is a white man from the South. He has good looks, a seemingly great wife and family, and the same political agenda as Barack Obama. He has the experience, he has come from middle class roots.

Let's face it. Bigotry is still all around us. The fact that Obama is black might play a huge part in this election. The fact that Hillary Clinton is a "love her or hate her" kind of woman also hurts. And, to top it off, there is a group of women who say they won't vote for Obama because he's not Hillary.

If the superdelegates want the Democrats to win in November, they should tell the convention "We want John Edwards."
