The Arizona Cardinals (2-1-0) host the Denver Broncos (1-2-0) tonight at 10PM eastern time. I always dislike it when fans and even the media downplay a preseason game and say it doesn't mean anything. I think a preseason game holds a lot of value, I enjoy watching the competition between players to earn a spot on the team. A perfect example of this is: Broncos rookie receiver Eddie Royal. The team's second-round pick has earned a starting spot opposite Brandon Marshall. The former Virginia Tech Hokie has caught 4 passes for 80 yards during the preseason in fact he hasn't had a bad play yet.

On the other hand it seems that Arizona Cardinal quaterback Matt Leinhart has lost his starting job after a poor performance thus far in the preseason. It looks as if head coach Ken Whisenhunt has elevated Kurt Warner to starting quarterback.
