Chapter One Men Seem To Have A Thing For Her
It was a good summer. There had been a lot of parties and dances under the star lit skies. Everyone had good tans and svelte bodies from all the tennis and swim meet practices. On a scale of one to ten, this summer rated a nine and a half, it had been almost perfect.
Pointers would believe that the sun always shines in Grosse Pointe, and this summer had proved it. Sun and money, the bright and the shining, the healthiness of affluence. It was still old money that held and led on. Those that were new to it had grown into, slowly over time. The nouveau riche and fast money had not crept over Alter Road, the boundary, that in an instant changed Detroit's paved Jefferson Avenue into the winding asphalt Lake Shore Road with its green manicured expanses of lawns and its manses for the upper and upper middle class. It was the Twlight Age of the Pointes, but it felt golden and it gave its residents much pleasure.
"Kids, I remember being the same way myself when I was a lad," remarked Mr. Grayton outloud to no one in particular. His eyes followed his son, Jason, chasing a young woman around the edge of the Grosse Pointe Shores Park Pool. Both their skins glistened in the late afternoon sun for they had just come from out of the water. Mr. Grayton's eyes watched intently as he saw his son capture the girl by her bare waist and swung her around, her breasts straining against the fabric of her bathing suit top. She cried out with a pleading but delighted "Stop!"
Mr. Grayton smiled, he recognized the protest, how many times in his own youth had his girlfriends said stop and then went on to tug and pull at him to continue his horseplay with them. He felt a stirring not only in his groin but a tugging at his heartstrings at the mere memory.
Jason was lucky to have captured the attentions of a good looking girl like Jillian. If he could hang on she was definitely marriage material. He imagined that girls like Jillian now days would probably not be inclined to get pregnant right away, but do the Junior League-wifely thing for the first couple of years of marriage. That would give Jason at least two years of great sex with a gorgeous girl, a beautiful well kept home and plenty of country clubbing, golf and tennis before he really had to settle down.
In a lot of ways Jillian reminded him of his partner Drake's wife Sally. Damn good looking, a cute body, long legs, nice firm breasts, sungold hair, blue eyes and full lips. For a few moments he forgot about his own wife who was now walking towards him with a young man at her side. "Bill!" "Bill look who's here. Dirk, remember Dirk, Caroline and James Barnes' son?" "You remember Dirk," she turned her head back towards the young man, "But you were what, fifteen years old when your family moved to Newport?" she asked Dirk.
"Hello Mr. Grayton, how are you?" Dirk put out his hand to shake Bill Grayton's. Bill Grayton, slightly embarassed, for his revelry over Jillian's looks had caused him to become aroused and he quickly stood up holding his beach towel in his left hand in from of his swimming trunks as he offered his right hand to shake Dirk's hand.
Elizabeth Grayton, catching sight of her son at the opposite side of the pool, waved and called out to him to come over and join them. The young man, who had now had his girlfriend’s body pressed against his in a firm hold, waved back to his mother. Grabbing Jillian by the hand, they both ran towards his parents and Dirk Barnes. “What’s up Mom?” Jason cheerfully asked. “Hi Mr. Grayton, Mrs. Grayton,” said Jillian breathlessly. Her eyes quickly noted the young man who stood opposite her next to Jason’s mother. She gave him a cool look and a slight smile, parting her lips.
"Hello Jillian," returned Mr. Grayton. "Jason, do you remember Dirk Barnes, he use to live next door." "You remember Dirk dear," chimed in Mrs. Grayton to her son. "Dirk, you use to be the Shores' swimming ace in the meets, weren't you?" she asked as she turned once again to Dirk. "Sure I remember Dirk, how are you man?" exclaimed Jason giving Dirk a slight slap on the back. "Jillian, this is Dirk Barnes," said Mr. Grayton. "He use to be our neighbor a few years back."
Jillian looked away from Jason and peered intently into Dirk's eyes, then she let her eyes move slowly across his smooth hard chest, down his stomach muscles to his swim suit and further down his well formed legs, until her eyes rested at his feet. Jason and his parents thought she was being shy and reserved, but Dirk could feel her eyes travel about him as if she had been going over his body with her well manicured hands.
"This girl could be trouble," he thought. He was sorry she was so attractive. This visit back to Grosse Pointe would now be all the more harder on him.
Synopsis of Chapter Two A Penny For Your Thoughts
Dirk goes to the three car garage on his grandmother's estate and views the contents of vintage cars and possessions of his late grandfather. Chapter leaves off when Dirk, while getting his grandfather's golf bag from the garage is surprised by Jillian in a bathing suit watching him from the opened side door of the garage.
( Keep reading because this story tends to get hotter with each chapter. Have to keep things just warm and civilized for the first couple of chapters, (after all it takes place in "Grosse Pointe". And can't have these two going straight to it in minutes, I want them to get really hot for each other before the hunt, the chase and the ...)
Chapter Two A Penny For Your Thoughts
It was one of those great summer mornings, when the air felt fresh, clear and dry, the sky a crisp. cloudless blue, the temperature a perfect right seventy-five degrees. Dirk walked out the pantry door at the back of his grandmother's house towards the carriage house over the three car garage.
He felt invigorated, having just returned from the park pool where he swam his daily fifty laps. The schedule he had worked out for himself was pleasant. He reached the pool about seven in the morning, and did his laps without distraction and before any other swimmers would arrive.
Usually about the time he would be getting out of the pool, the kids from the Shores Park's swim team would be scampering into practice for the upcoming swim meets. Often kids would recognize him and stand about wet and shivering in their towels talking to him, asking questions on his best race time, and how he beat his major swimming opponent from the Farms Pier's team or the Woods' team. He got a big kick out of this and felt the hero worship gratifying his ego. Besides he told himself as he showered and dressed, it gave the kids something greater to aim for, some incentive to be number one and beat those little bastard swimmers from the other pools.
