Dharamsala or Little Lhasa
posted June 17, 2007 - 4:05amNestled in the Kangra valley of Himachal Pradesh lies the small town of Dharamsala. Dharamsala, which means ‘rest-house’ or ‘an inn attached to a temple’ has become synonymous to the Tibetan Government in exile and is also home of the Tibetan leader and guru Dalai Lama. And hence the town is fondly referred to as ‘Little Lhasa’.
