 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. My first chemotherapy treatment was October 8, 2009.

This article – Diagnosis: Breast Cancer – Part I – details my intimate journey, in journal format, and includes the diagnosis after discovery of a lump to the roller coaster feelings I have been experiencing. Information about my specific form of breast cancer, Her-2/neu positive, is included as well.

The article will take you inside my mind as I learn what will occur and what I can expect as a result of my breast cancer diagnosis.
