Did We Miss a Shot at Another Drinking Game from the Debates?
I didn't see the debates last night, but I did read the transcript and many of the post-debate commentary, plus I watched a number of clips already on YouTube. I can't help but think that we missed another opportunity for a drinking game.
Where the first vice presidential debate between Sarah "Can I call you Joe?" Palin and Joe "Copy That" Biden featured a drinking game based on Palin's use of the word "maverick" to describe herself and McCain, last night's presidential debate between John "I Remember Ron" McCain and Barack "Don't ask me about my connections" Obama would have been more entertaining if we took a shot every time McCain used the word "friend" while motioning to the audience of glassy-eyed automatons.
By my count, which I admit may not be 100% accurate, McCain used the word a dozen times, which could have been the equivalent of at least a pint of Jim Beam or JD. Of course, we might have puked it right up from motion sickness watching the camera try and follow McCain as he wobbled and weaved around the stage.
Then, again, maybe we should save the booze for after we see who gets elected in November. I have the feeling that booze sales are going to spike after we see what we've elected, even if it is "That One".

"My friends"
was said many, many times. Anybody who had that on their bingo card/drinking game would have gotten very drunk.
