Disciplining Children

Spanking can be humiliating for both parents and children and can be counterproductive to what you are trying to teach your child. It often causes anger and resentment. That is why the American Academy of Pediatrics does not recommend spanking. Find out altenative methods of discipline for children of all ages at kidshealth.org.
