Discovering the Atmosphere on Extrasolar Planets

 

Scientists have found many planets outside our solar system. The difficulty lies in knowing what kind of atmosphere the planet has. They can now gather this critical information from the planets atmosphere as the light from its star passes through it. Finding an Earth-like planet may be just around the corner!
