Diseases

This blog is about diseases. When people hear the word "disease" they think about it being bad. Don't get me wrong, diseases are bad. They kill millions of people every year. However if you think about it, diseases can be a good thing.

Diseases are in my opinion a way to keep the human population in control. Say scientists found a way to cure every disease in the world. The human population would sky rocket into monstrous proportions.

Like there is a story of a tiny village that depended on their fish life for their economic growth. They always hated sharks though, because they would attack and eat the fish they sold for money. Well one day they see a huge ship sweep across their ocean. Suddenly they no longer saw the sharks, and octopus growth spiked due to the sharks absence.

Instead of fish they only had octopus which they could not sell. They grew desperate for fish, but couldn't get rid of the octopuses without the sharks. They were thrown into poverty in an instant. One day one of the villagers saw a shark, which he told the whole village about. The villagers cheered on the shark which quickly turned into many more. Soon their shark population was back, and so were the fish.

So just think of the sharks as diseases. If you get rid of them the world is thrown into chaos. So that is kind of the morale of the story. I'll post again next week.
