Disgruntled American Seeks Canadian For Political Asylum

There are a lot of Hollywood celebrities who claimed that they would leave the country if Bush won in 2000 and 2004. Although one could argue that he didn't "win" either election because of Florida in 2000 and Ohio in 2004, all of the celebrities are still here. Why some people still care what any famous talking head has to say about a candidate or issue is beyond me.

But, I digress. I don't doubt that there will be a greater exodus of citizens to Canada if McCain/Palin wins in November. I guess marriage is the oldest path to a quick green card for citizenship.

Yeah, I remember hearing of a number of everyday people who said this too. They're all still here.

For the celebs, I can see a bigger incentive for staying in the U.S.: they have high incomes that would be taxed at a higher rate north of the border.

But like you, jdubhub, I couldn't care less what any celebrity thinks -- or does.
