Disgusted Recession
posted September 12, 2009 - 9:10amIf we as consumers survived our day to day lives the way that wall street can surge or plummet, we would all be living primitively in a matter of hours. Respected sources have issued their educated opinions that our economy is showing signs that we are no longer on the path to a deeper recession, but rather on the long journey to a economic recovery.
Many people I have spoken to are still suffering from the unforgettable and unrelenting pinch of financial insecurity and are hesitant to spend anything more than necessary to survive. Parents had to hold their breath and pray that they could send their children off to school on a well planned and implemented budget of necessary clothes, supplies, tuition, electronics, etc, while others sought out and were dependant upon the generosity of individuals and their community.
A ten year old boy was recently asked the question, "What do you think our government needs to do in order to help our economy?" He replied, "I think that they need to lower prices so that I can afford stuff with my allowance." The father was also asked a similar question to which his reply was, "We need to work on creating more jobs and securing existing jobs by deporting illegal immigrants."
We all have our own opinions in what we would do, could do, or should do. Our opinions, thoughts, and advice are what make us unique. When we begin to work together, change happens.
What are you doing to help you and your family get through this tough economic time? I would love to hear from. The smallest thing can make a big difference.
