As this is typed, all over the consumerist world there are people (mainly young women) with their fingers down their throats, intent on puking up the food which is not available elsewhere on the planet. Others in the consumerist world (again mainly young women) are voluntarily starving themselves, eating tissue paper and downing laxatives. Why? Because they want to look like the women on the list in the original article. So I object and on that level I think they are disgusting. Miss Sophie's prattle has taken the essence of the original article and distorted it. Thrown in some condescending, arrogant cr*p as she goes and, perhaps in an attempt to make waves and become centre of attention, severely annoyed me. She has done well as my well meaning article has not done what it was intended to do in the minutest. Martin123 has concluded in the manner of W Bush - ie unfounded, wrong and stupid. ... My suggestion to any new readers of this - is to read the article and not the comments. Miss Sophie's "debate", which she attempts to end with authority on numerous ocassions in the manner of the ineffectual - ie by stating "let that be an end to it" is mostly empty and anything of merit is accidental - I wouldn't waste your time with it.
