I would rather that readers come to Xomba.com for the writing of Xombees than for 'web-surfers' favorite links.' Certain 'favorite-links'-sites are good for that; Xomba.com is more a writing network, and the 'links' are just to help Xomba-fans reaffirm whatever we Xombies help them learn.

Looking through my email, I'll only click on the Xomba-links that look over-simple like this once a day, spend the rest of my time on posts with titles inferring 'deep thinking within.'

Some people are here to write and others are here to make money....some are here for both! Let's face it...some of these cheapy links make us some bucks! And they make the website some too! If the moderators don't think we should be doing "links" then they should take away the option of the Xomblurb. That might be an expensive mistake though.

Actually if you consider all whom reply are probably here due to Websurfing for some reason or another. I realize that I'm so new to this site , but you did invite comments from all. Sorry, hope you all have great day.

Xomblurbs are exactly that. They are supposed to point you to interesting articles and Web sites. My daughter loves the Disney Channel Web site. So I thought I would point to it. I have added a little more information though - for those who need more meat.

I don't believe that's your decision to make mythman. And I've written some opinionated articles, some reviews, some travel articles and I think they were well done. But the money I've made hasn't been from them. Believe me, I wish it was. For some reason the blurbs do better here.

(I know the 'also yours'-factor makes it a slightly-weaker assertion ... imagine if Jesus had answered, "Yes, I am the King of the Jews ... along with every other Jew who chooses the Middle Way.")

'Being seen as a bookmarking-site' is something that happens when multiple "individuals" regard a site as such.

(That's not to say 'it will/won't become so if a few of us do/don't let it', but rather that I will not be among the many who do if they choose to.)Disagree? Join to Defend Your Honor!

Whatever floats your boat mythman. You have a right to your thoughts and opinions and some of us who can't write have the right to try to make a little money on the side. Xomba has given me enough so I can stay home with my daughter instead of working a second job. As a single Mom it is difficult to write deep, insightful stuff when you have to juggle a career, a daughter, and trying to make ends meet.

Even if it seems real 'duh-duh' ("My kids like it!" 'Oh really, I thought Disney was going for the mature-audience ...'), it shows that you're a real person 'being real' rather than -'being a money-grubbing computer-nerd.'Disagree? Join to Defend Your Honor!

Xombies write for different reasons. Some write because they love writing and Xomba is an outlet for that. Others write because they want to earn a few bucks. I write because I need the money to make ends meet - hope that does not make me a money hungry monster because I need to feed my daughter. Not everything I write can be related to my personal life. That's just the nature of the beast.
