Looking for a great Moderate Resort for your next Walt Disney World vacation, why not consider Port Orleans French Quarter. Port Orleans is the smallest of the Moderate Resorts in Disney. However, unlike other resorts it is connected to Disney's Port Orleans Riverside, giving guests access to two Resorts. As you can see from the name, it is themed after New Orleans. The food court even sells Beignets!

Guests of all Disney Resorts are provided with transportation through out the World. This includes bus service from the French Quarter to all the Parks. Boat service is provided to Riverside and Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island. French Quarter does share Disney busing with Riverside, however, French Quarter is the first to be picked up and first to be dropped off.

Activites at Port Orleans include Carriage Rides, playgrounds, catch and release fishing, water slides in the pool, a hot tub and pin trading in the lobby on certain nights. Scat Cats Lounge also has live entertainment, be sure to check the schedule as it is not everynight.

Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory Food Court offers something for everyone. They have ample seating indoors and additional outdoor seating. Boatwrights Reastaurant is located on the Riverside, but be sure to make a reservation, as it is often crowded. There are also pool bars at both French Quarter and Riverside.

French Quarter is a quiet relaxing resort, great for kids!

What do you consider moderate?

What do you consider moderate? I am a fan of Disney Economy Hotels/Motels (All-Star, Pop Century). Even they can run you over a hundred dollars a night in season(varies). I often stay at the Swan and Dolphin because of connections but they run over two hundred dollars a night quite often. So what is moderate?

moderates

Moderates range from around $150 to $250, depending on the season and type of room. I have seen the Annual Passholders rate as low at $99. per night, which for us justifies the cost of the AP.
