Do you believe Evolution is true?
Do you believe Evolution is true?
Why, yes, I do understand and accept that evolution is a good explanation to explain the genetic diversity of life (and yes, I do think it's the most likely offered explanation, to be blunt), but now I have a wonderfully lengthy way to respond to this question.
As stated on this very page, evolution is not something that you can really 'believe' in. It's something you accept or reject. And of course, as with anything, one should be damn well certain to understand what exactly is supporting the ideas that one accepts or rejects.
It's funny to me, because I was recently in a long (and from my view, pointless) conversation with a family member on evolution, and because of that, I've become largely convinced that people who do not accept evolution, really do not understand the evidence behind it. Instead, they seem to be largely fixated on some mistaken interpretation that they have of evolution, which I assume they picked up from hearing it somewhere else (perhaps church?).
