Does the Union Keep the American Dream Hidden From Union Members?

Does the Union Keep the American Dream Hidden From Union Members?

American Unions have alot of power in our big cities. I have also noticed that the Democrat party is pretty much dominated by the Union's way of thinking...

Without the union we will not earn good enough wages to support our families. Without the union you will not be gauranteed 40 hrs a week. Union supporters like the idea of unified health care.

Union workers believe that without the union they will be fired without a good reason. Union members believe a CEO of a company should not get a large severence bonus when he retires. Does not matter that the CEO might have gave his life to that company for 30 years.

Seems the Union although a big business itself try's to black ball the idea that Americans can make it on there own. And enforce the idea that big business is evil.

I can't help but make the comparrison to a kid living at home having everything given to them by their parents. And a grown up being given everything to them by the Union.

I know they promise good wages and most Union members I know have good incomes and livelyhoods but, although working hard everyday, everything is still given to them.

I think the individuals who own the large Union companies have achieved the American dream at the expense of others dreams they didn't even know they could have. Am I wrong?
