Don't Go Out to Buy the No-Tear Onion Just Yet: The Benefits of Onions as Nature Intended
We're always messing with nature, and so much of it isn't meant to be messed with. Have you heard about the new no-tear onion? I know a lot of us don't like chopping onions, because that makes us cry. Have you ever thought about why onions might make us cry?
God had a reason for making onions that make us cry. They actually produce tears so that we can wash the epithelial layers of our eyes. That's, at least, a side benefit to a rather uncomfortable task of cutting onions during cooking. Some people love the taste of onions, but hate the odor they leave behind. Onions have another benefit as well, which is to help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. So don't do away with onions just yet.
God has a way of communicating to us about what foods we should eat. Onions look like body cells, and, as I've said earlier, today's research has shown that onions help clear waste materials from all of the body cells. This is a connection, and not a coincidence.
