Doors
posted September 9, 2009 - 12:57amOne day, a person came up to me while I was writing an entry. Yes, a person I had never met before came straight to me as I typed away on my little entry. We were outside, of course, because people are capable of writing blogs with no assistance outside, so for that person to come straight to me in person is of course very plausible. If this story were at all true, that person would be a 'she', but for the sake of "correctness" I'll make it a 'he'. That person came straight up to me, as if I hadn't already used that word a million times already in this blog already, and asked me this question:
"Why in the world are you writing about doors?"
I couldn't answer of course, because how could I, when I didn't even know the answer myself? I don't make a habit of writing about doors, duh, because that would be just "uncool," or even "un-shway." Oh, and to the people who came up with that word, may you spend the rest of your lives thinking forever about the one word that could have been so much better than that one.
But you came to hear about doors. Or "goozaks," as they would be called in Wayside School Gets a Little Stranger, by Louis Sachar, author of Holes and other interesting stories.
Well, I will tell you about doors.
...So after the ball flies clean through the window and breaks your family portrait, you then take your hand, put it on the doorknob, turn it, and then go through the (yep you guess it! The window!) and pick up the shattered mess of glass from the window and the family portrait with the very hand (and with the other hand too, of course -- gosh, ya gotta love those two words...) that turned the doorknob. Oh, and don't forget to go through the kitchen after going through the you-know-what. That's usually where it happens.
As always, more to come! (And yes, that is all for doors)
