It's a dreamy place
this world of mine,
where words and thoughts bend together
making my blood feel oh, so fine.
New visions of a fresh life
occupy my head allowing true blithe.
I turn away from the negative
and run as fast as I can
to an open heart that has no ban.
These times help me to heal
and these times force me to feel.
I'm not the same girl I used to be.
No longer locked up, I will continue to be free.
Dancing around my head
are dreams that spark instead.
